Birth to Three

At SDSBVI, we are deeply committed to supporting families and children with visual impairments or blindness across South Dakota. In addition to our on-campus programs, we provide statewide early intervention and outreach services designed to meet families where they live and learn.

Through the Birth to Three Program, children from birth to age three who are blind or visually impaired can receive free, family-centered early intervention services. A dedicated team of trained professionals work directly with families in their homes and during daily routines, ensuring support in the child’s natural environment.

SDSBVI collaborates closely with the South Dakota Department of Education Birth to Three Program to enhance the resources available to families and provide individualized, high-quality support from the very beginning.
