Learning to be Equipped for Adulthood Program

The Learning to be Equipped for Adulthood Program (LEAP) program is designed for students ages 18–21 who are blind or visually impaired and preparing for the transition to post-secondary education or the workforce.

LEAP emphasizes the development of both academic and practical life skills essential for independent adult living. Participants gain valuable experience by residing in the SDSBVI residence halls or campus apartments and engaging in work-based learning opportunities within the Aberdeen community.
